Local Governance Resource Center

A brief history

Anchored on the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) principles of Knowledge Management (KM), multi-stakeholder participation and convergence, this office crafted its Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) vision, mission and goals in the operationalization of the program in the city.

Upon the creation of the LGRRC Sub-Regional Team of DILG Tacloban last November 23, 2020, the LGRRC of Tacloban convened the said team and conducted the Knowledge Management (KM) Audit last December 14, 2020 to assess the performance of the office specifically on its strengths and assets, weaknesses and barriers and determine the interventions needed. The KM Audit is done annually to ascertain the compliance of the LGRRC and the Multi-stakeholders' Advisory Council (MSAC) KM readiness.

Meanwhile, the MSAC of Tacloban City was created last November 9, 2022 with members composed of DILG as chairperson, City Government of Tacloban, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Tacloban, Department of Education (DepEd) Tacloban Division, Tacloban City Police Office,  Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tacloban City Fire Station (TCFS), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male and Female Dormitories, Leyte Normal University, Philippine Red Cross and Bombo Radyo Tacloban.
